The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the region. The group operates through a network of Ugandan branches namely Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Mbale, Gulu, Arua Mbarara, Entebbe, Fort Portal and Hoima. We are looking for a qualified and talented young professional to fill in the above position.
The main roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
- General ledger maintenance.
- Cash office operation.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Credit control and job costing.
- Management accounts preparation and analysis.
- Raising invoices for quick sales.
- System posting and issue of stocks.
- Stock management.
- Any other task deemed necessary to accomplish the above.
The candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Graduate in any relevant discipline from a recognized University -Business Administration with a minimum of Upper Second Honours degree.
- Fully qualified CPA (U) or ACCA.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Adaptability to work in a fast- paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience and proficiency in a financial accounting package or ERP system will have an added advantage.
